Either by formerly being part of the same label, playing shows and touring in company, or simply because of their common passion of pushing buttons that produce sounds, Billa Qause and Mononome have been collaborators as well as close friends for nearly a decade.

After working together, sporadically releasing tracks for various compilations, the duo naturally decided to jointly work on a project.

The outcome occurred over a long period of exchanging ideas and influences rooted in Hip-Hop, Miami Bass music, and modern-day Electronica. "Follow Me Down" breaks the barrier of organic-only compositions going a bit further from what they have been distinguished for so far as solo artists.

Having been known for their affection for the MPC, that didn't much change while composing in unison. Sampling records played a crucial part throughout and layered the foundation of the EP. However, riding on the back of heavy subs, crisp percussion and translucent atmospheres, they found themselves wanting to experiment with 808's, create electronic sounds by manipulating samples and drop the tempo way lower than they had done before.

Being something new, as well as an experimentation for both, "Follow Me Down”, in a way, serves as a statement addressing the fact that one should not, or better yet, cannot pigeonhole or box someone in.
